Conconully Moose
« on: May 12, 2015, 01:06:31 PM »
Found this bull moose yesterday while cruising the hills near Conconully. Sorry for the poor video quality but it it was further away then my phone could handle.

I have been seeing more moose every year, some very nice bulls! Talked to a bio. approx. 5 yrs ago he said the pop. was large enough to warrant a tag. But was waiting to recommend a tag until the pop was larger. To be sure a OIL tag  holder would see moose.

We were just at our cabin in the Limebelt Saturday. Is this where you saw it ? All I saw was 3 different sets of bear tracks.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

No, we were up off of the 37 rd. Although that limebelt area looks like it should have a moose.

It does have moose too. Where's the 37 at ? I should know, but don't pay much attention at my age.

Yes, that's the road you take to tiffany mountain. The 38 road that goes up out of the north end of town takes you to Lone Frank pass.
